Who is Chopper Dave?
Just some guy that likes motorcycles.
How did you get the name “Chopper Dave”?
A tattoo artist that I used to ride around with gave me the name and it just stuck. I hate calling myself Chopper Dave even though a lot of people only know me by it.
Where did you grow up?
In the Valley in Studio City. I came out this way when I began working at West Coast Choppers in 2001. After leaving West Coast Choppers in 2005 I opened my own shop.
Did anyone ride bikes in your family?
My mom rode bikes in the 80’s and my Dad had a commuter bike. I started riding when I was 18.
What is casting?
It’s when you break your leg and they put plaster on it! Actually, it is the art of pouring liquid metal into some sort of mold, then having it harden into a useable or machineable product.
